By accessing or using Pagepings (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Monitor pages in a way that violates the monitored website’s terms of service or robots.txt directives
• Engage in excessive automated scraping that could disrupt target websites
• Collect personal data from monitored pages without proper legal basis
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent

3. Service Plans and Billing

Pagepings offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Data and Content

You retain ownership of any data you provide to the Service, including your monitor configurations and account information. We claim no ownership over the content of monitored web pages. Snapshots and diffs are stored solely to provide the Service to you and are deleted according to your plan’s retention policy.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable advance notice. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime, missed change detections, or delayed notifications.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pagepings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
